This stupidity of speculation about scientific projects has been touching some people's souls. I work at a school and most of my year 7 and 8 students were afraid of the Big Bang that some “clever guys” were announcing. At that age, each kid is scared of death, even if nobody says anything about it. However, we, adults, have such a big mouth that we just spread rumours that really affect psychologically a great amount of population, specially the youths.
And here I was today in class, with one 11 years old girl, who broke in tears because some “amazing” scientist thought that he was so clever that he could predict the future. No one predicts the future. No one is God. Who has the power to determine what is going to happen? Stephen Hawking? Do you still believe that man? Otto Rossler? Another clever one. Excuse my rudeness, but those guys should shut their mouths and think before talking because they are playing with innocent souls.
We should teach our children to enjoy life how it is, to enjoy the present and not to think about the future, to live loving the one who is beside them and improving their character as human beings.
Unfortunately, we will always have those smart adults who will be annoying us with their speculation. Hopefully, they will start doing something which obviously they have not learnt before but that they boast about: thinking before talking.
